A stakeholders workshop for the strengthening, review and effective implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Bayelsa State, organized by the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee(ACJMC) and supported by the MacArthur Foundation was held at the High Court complex Yenagoa on 24th of February, 2022.

In attendance was the Hon. Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon.Justice Kate Abiri, CON, Hon.Judges Hon.Attorney – General of Bayelsa State, Biriyai Dambo, SAN, Commissioner of Police, Ben Okolo, Magistrates, Correctional Centre, NDLEA, and other stakeholders. Hon. Justice Kate Abiri, CON, commended organisers for the commitment demonstrated to get Bayelsa State to this stage of its criminal justice reforms.

Earlier the Executive Secretary of the ACJMC – Federal said it shall guide the state to create a roadmap towards the discharge of its functions effectively.
