In the early hours of the 5th day of March, 2014, the Hon. Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon. Justice Kate Abiri received the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 5 and his entourage into her hallowed Chambers.
Hon. Justice Kate Abiri remarked that the AIG’s visit reinforces assurance of cordiality between the Police and the Judiciary. She further stated that cooperation between the two key players in the Justice sector is germane.
The Hon. CJ however expressed concerns on the need to get criminal cases expeditiously tried and concluded. She reiterate the challenges of witnesses’ absence from court, transfer of police officers and other factors which delays dispensation of justice and viagra vs cialis. She thanked the team for their visit and request for more police men for the security of Judges during Court session.
The AIG, Mr. Hashimu Argungu, MNI; thanked the Hon. CJ for the existing synergy between the Police and the Judiciary and further request for the cooperation of both sectors towards effective and efficient justice delivery.
A tour of the Judiciary Research Centre, which is a product of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Library, was embarked upon by the AIG and his entourage with the Hon. CJ.
